  7. GIVE CONSTANT THANKS TO THE GREAT SPIRIT FOR EACH DAY
  8. SPEAK THE TRUTH IN ALL THINGS AND IN THE GOOD OF OTHERS
  9. FOLLOW THE RHYTHMS OF NATURE: RISE AND RETIRE WITH THE SUN
  10. ENJOY LIFE'S JOURNEYS BUT LEAVE NO TRACKS

THE OVER-HILL CHEROKEE ARE/WERE A MATRALINIAL SOCITEY.  THIS MEANS THAT INHEREITANCE WAS PASSED THROUGH THE MOTHER.  THEREFORE, IT DIDN'T MATTER WHO "DADDY" WAS.
